Content You Choose to Share

When you use GPTShare to create a shareable summary, we collect:

• Selected conversation content - The specific AI chat messages you highlight and choose to share (not your entire conversation history)
• Your formatting preferences - Summary length, writing style, and whether to redact sensitive information

How We Use Your Data

Your selected content is used solely to:

• Generate a summary - Your content is transmitted to our backend server and processed using AI language models to create a concise summary
• Create a shareable link - The generated summary is stored in our database and assigned a unique URL that you can share with others
• Display the shared content - When someone visits your share link, we render the summary in a readable format

AI Processing

Your selected content is processed through OpenRouter, which routes requests to AI language models for summarization. OpenRouter does not store or log the content of requests sent through their service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

Sensitive Information Redaction

When enabled, our AI will detect and redact:

• Email addresses and phone numbers
• Passwords and authentication credentials
• Personal identification numbers
• Other identifiable personal details

We recommend reviewing your summary before sharing.

Data Retention

• Shared summaries are stored indefinitely to keep share links working
• User-controlled deletion and automatic expiration coming in future updates
• Contact us to request manual deletion

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data:

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• Database access is restricted and authenticated
• We do not store unnecessary personal information

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Know what data we collect
• Request deletion of your shared summaries
• Choose not to use the extension

Children's Privacy

GPTShare is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
